More equal. He has an up on you for a week or two, then a week or two of dead even, followed by VTM being the top dog for the forseeable future.

Hmmm, did anyone other than me and rodrig think that the logisitcs upgrade might be a little to high costing? At least for us in this stage of game?
Just a question, don't want to cause any "bloody" or "blimming" here.

How is 10k for being allowed say... 1200 more troops too expensive?
Besides its expensive because its to make players think more about tactics and what units they use as opposed to just throwing a massive army in blob warfare.

Also... the unit upgrades. 100k would be able to buy an entire fleet, an entire battalion of tanks. How about this?

Yes it may be a bit steep, but i am pretty sure mal did post his reasoning behind it, You're not meant to be able to upgrade your units quickly or easily, its meant to be an achievement of your hard work or dedication. However i will send a message to Malachi to come take a look for you.

An entire fleet of what? A battleship costs more than twice the unit upgrade cost. You couldn't even buy two cruisers with that either. But you could buy a ton of rifles. So maybe it's not so much that the price is too high, but that it's too uniformly applied? Should each section have it's own price? 10k for infantry, 25k for armor, 50k for air and 100k for navy? Or something to that effect at least?

In all honesty i quite like the idea of prices being set per tier, i mean if you can afford a navy over 50 units then your rich enough to pay for the upgrade if your fielding them all.

Well, not everyone no, but more than just you.
So we have one person against and one person for tiered upgrade prices. Can we get some more opinions?

Originally thats what i thought pork, but then i thought of it like this "Its not as much as a foreigner voting on a foreign president, but rather as someone who hasn't been active in a nation for awhile finally voting on a president"
And even if my opinion doesn't count towards the actual vote, i can at least offer some advice to make this fair.
Although question, I've been out for awhile, is this 'tiered' upgrades like Making a WWII era destroyer one tier and a Modern Destroyer a different tier? or like for a single ship there are multiple tiers for upgrades of that one ship class?

I would like to make a price suggestion. I think we should lower the cost of submarines to $90000 per sub. I feel the price of submarines is too costly for their tactical role.

Hmm, I am at school at the moment, But if the forums are more stable when I get home, I will try and speak to Mal, I do agree subs are very expensive, It may end up that we tier submarines to seperate prices, e.g: Hunter Killer - $80k Special Operations (Navy Seals, ect.) - $90k Nuclear Submarines - $125k Missile Subs - $100k Nuclear powered SLBM subs - $130k
Or something along those lines.

OK, that seems to make sense. It does seem that subs are pretty expensive in real life as well, so I think this will work rather well. Though I'd maybe simplify it:
Attack Subs (SS)- $80000 Cruise Missile Subs (SSG) - $100000 Ballistic Missile Subs (SSB) - $125000
With a nuclear reactor adding $10000. If by a spec ops sub you mean a mini-sub, that should be pretty inexpensive, maybe $10000.

So its a full size attack sub that carries maritime special forces.
