If no one takes you before then, I can take you tonight/tomorrow. But I'll be kinda busy today, I think, so it'd be better if someone else could take this.

Wow... no one took this? alright, I'll try and take this. Just for clarity, is this a sea invasion or are you attacking from land? (passing through my territory since we are allies?)

It is primarily a land invasion; the destroyer is there for support if the city/area that I attack is on the coast.

Mk, I'll write up something when I get on my lunch break. Sorry it is taking so long to get this invasion through.

The Danes (that is right... right?) pull back, leaving a large portion of the country open. They choose to hold at the shore of the Musholm Bugt, across the Great Belt (channel of water) on the only remaining bridge connecting the mainland portion of Denmark to the landmass which Copenhagen sits on. They have: -160 riflemen -20 Marksmen -15 HMGs They have ten HMGs set in a fortified trench line along the beach with the bridge in the middle. (five per side) There are eighty men in these trenches (forty per side). Forty more riflemen hold the bridge on the far shore (the side you are on) with three HMGs (one at each flank of their position and one in the center) They have fortified their position with dirt, rubble, and sandbags to give cover, and block the road (tanks won't be able to roll through, but the blockage could be easily removed by infantry) At the Dane side of the bridge another two HMGs sit side by side to shoot up the bridge if the forward post falls. thirty riflemen and ten marksmen hold this post as well. There are abandoned cars on the bridge for light cover, but nothing blocking the bridge to keep vehicles from going across (besides the forward fortifications mentioned earlier) There are the last ten riflemen, and ten marksmen, holding out in various positions within the town of Korsor at the other side.

maps.google.com/?ll=55.244684,11.510925&spn=0.9003,2.469177&t=h&z=9 Should show you the place. The Danes hold the eastern shore, at Korsor. Your forces would be coming from Nyborg.

Technically, this does mean you effortlessly take half the country, I'm not sure if that counts for anything if you decide to just hold what you have (as Malachi).

The Teolog steams into the Great Belt and bombards the trenches from the rear.
The tanks move in first, trying to take out as many Danes as they can, with priority on the machine gunners. The snipers have similar orders to attack machine gunners, but attack from their perches in the rear. Then the riflemen and shotgunners move in to clean up and stragglers.
Hopefully, that should clear up the western side of the bridge and allow us to begin the crossing.

(very nice, bravo) The forward fortification on the west bank is taken in a swift but bloody clash. The HMGs wreak havoc, but the tanks smash into the mix like the metal juggernauts of death that they are. You lose 20 men. The Danes lose all forty men, and all thee HMGs. These takes care of all Danes on the west side of the bridge. The Teolong does its brutal effective work, wrecking all HMG nests, and killing about 20 Danes in the trenches lining the East bank. This leaves: - 2 HMGs - 100 riflemen - 20 marksmen Your casualties are: - 20 riflemen The rubble is easily cleared, and you are able to cross the bridge. The remaining forty Danes in the trenches are disoriented and in disorder due to the bombardment.

The artillery teams set up on the western edge of the bridge and bombard the machine gun nests on the other side. The Teolog swings around and begins delivering ordnance to the eastern bank. Then, the tanks move forward across the bridge, followed closely by the riflemen, shotgunners, snipers, and machine gunners.

I assume delivering ordnance would be firing upon, correct?
The artillery teams meet success, 1 HMG, 7 marksmen, and 3 riflemen are killed. Structural integrity of the bridge is now at 70% due to the artillery firing upon it. Bridge is still passable for vehicles.
The Teolog shreds up the trenches once more, killing off the remaining soldiers (40). You tanks are now in range to engage enemy forces on the west end.
Your casualties: -0
Danish casualties: -43 riflemen -HMG -7 marksmen

Tanks engage the trenches. Artillery and naval fire is halted when the tanks reach the enemy positions. Riflemen and shotgunners split into two groups of 75 (50 riflemen, 25 shotgunners) and try to enter the trenches from the north and south, leapfrogging from cover to cover. Machine gunners and snipers take up positions on the bridge and take out any foolish Danes that are not taken out by the tanks.

(hey dude... the trenches are empty... unless you meant the fortifications on the opposite end of the bridge. The trenches are along the beach, and they are all blown to pieces by your ship. There are 3 marksmen, 7 riflemen, and 1 HMG at the far end of the bridge. And there are ten riflemen and ten riflemen hiding out in the town. That is all that is left)

Oh, whoops. Okay, then. Artillery fire is halted. Tanks are ordered to mop up the remaining infantry and that pesky machine gun. Artillery targets the town for one hour. Then the infantry and armor move in to, once again, mop up stragglers.

Because you used tanks, you lose no infantry as Danish forces fail to inflict damage against your tanks. The forces holding the Danish end of the bridge are dead. The speed with which you have conquered breaks the moral of the troops in the town, they surrender to your forces. Congratulations, you now control Denmark. (Addition congratz from me as your ally, well done! )

And there was much rejoicing. What does this add to the Empire's income? Denmark was a small, but strategic conquest, so I'm not expecting too much. Unless a moderator objects, I'm going to put Denmark's economic output at $3000/day.
