Alright seeing as we are not banning the use of nuclear WMD i am going to set some ground rules now ready for next weeks auction winner.
1) Nuclear weapons are a LAST RESORT weapon only, do not just use for entertainment.
2) They can only be used when you are vastly outnumbered
3) you can only use when your down to 1 or 2 countries regardless of income or size of country or the status of said countries (Capital or not)
Note these rules are subject to change by staff.

1) Agreed, I am assuming that mods will judge if using nukes is okay or not given the situation.
2) Agreed, I am assuming that mods will judge if using nukes is okay or not given the situation.
3) Agreed, but how much do they cost? Or do you just get them?
4) I suggest that you can only use nukes when your home country is being attacked.

There is no cost yet, it depends on the weapon to be honest, e.g when ballistic missiles come out they are going to be alot more expensive than.. say a dumb nuclear bomb.

Also, there are different ways of delivering.
Plane and missile. You know, the Hiroshima bomb in WW2 was delivered by plane. Later on that method became nonstrategic with the dawn of ICBMs and missiles. That was why the Valkyrie was never developed, an official said that delivering nukes by plane became obsolete, like using a Mosin against a M200.

Yes but prokhor its almost as if when you give info you assume no one even has a clue, even though they do, e.g with me carrier when Furture tried to buy 2 you posted a pic of a real carrier as if no one knows, well believe it or not, i did do the research my self.

So, what about other Fission-based weapons, that focus on splitting an atom to create an explosion without the use of radioactive elements?

Nuclear reactions always involve some form of radioactive elements. Fission involves the heavier elements, with uranium and plutonium used simply because of the relative ease of attainment. Even fusion weapons (hydrogen bombs) are really a hybrid fusion-fission bomb, with a fission outer shell that produces enough heat to start the inner fusion core.

Alright, I'll say this now, these rules apply to ALL explosive based WMD, so Nukes, H-Bombs ect
So far Chem and Biological warfare are not restricted, these are subject to nations choice or alliances.

Also, DU rounds, ruling on them, or will they just be good at piercing armor?

Also, DU rounds, ruling on them, or will they just be good at piercing armor? Hmm.. From what i have read they should be fine, I mean they are widely used in the modern day, However they are only to be used from lets say the 90's onwards? and in vehicle weapons only, Basically 25mm up.

I suggest a new official thread that includes non-auctioned techs.
I mean, not everyone will read this thread and will start using DU rounds in the 80s.

Alright, Chemical and Biological weapons and WMD are subject to the same rules as Nukes however light chemical warfare agents like tear gas and such are free game.

Removed the limit on number of nuclear weapons, seems a bit pointless especially when MIRV's become involved.

Suggestion: When one uses WMDs, let the battle mod decide the damage done. This way there's no "omgcitydisappeared" and more "a bomber is launched carrying a nuclear munitions" or "a missile containing a highly volatile chemical is launched", followed by "the bomber is harrassed by enemy AA fire, and is forced to drop to the side, only damaging three quarters of the combatants" or "the missile strikes dead on, all combatants are wiped out".
