At the same time as the small scale Palkien operation occurs in Cuba to the North West. A full scale operation is happening in the Dominican Republic with the British Armed Forces moving in to seize control. Okay. I got this.
Your troops face approximately: 1000 AK47 Assault Rifles 400 MP5 Submachineguns 200 R700 DMRs 100 RPK Machineguns
100 T72 MBTs 400 Humvee Jeeps
40 Huey gunship helicopters
20 MiG-29 fighters 15 F15E Multiroles
22 Patrol Boats 8 Frigates 5 Destroyers
As your troops land you notice a mysterious lack of opposition. The Dominican navy is suspiciously still docked, and the enemy airforce is nowhere to be found. As you enter the city, some of the civilians give your troops dirty looks, and some even spit in your direction, but none have openly attacked your troops... Yet.
Your objectives are: Establish and maintain a military presence on the island. Find and capture the Prime Minister and negotiate a surrender. Establish and maintain the support of the civilian population. Resolve any conflicts that may spring up.

To the south of the city Royal Engineers are immediately set to work creating a Main Operating Base that will house the main elements of the assault force including a basic heliport and Artillery base.
Launched from the USA the flight of 4 Tornado GR.4A Combat ISTAR aircraft will sweep the island (Dominican Republic territory, not Haiti) searching for any sign of hostile military forces on the move and also gathering intel for British Ground Forces.
At sea the Royal Navy task force will seize security of the Harbour and will take aim to stop hostile ships leaving.

To the south of the city, your Engineers are relatively unhindered. A few hermits and farmers come to watch the setup, but they do not seem to be hostile.
Your Tornadoes are able to point out a few suspicious buildings that may serve as garages for enemy vehicles, but they are more than likely innocent buildings. It may be a good idea to check them out anyways.
The enemy ships remain docked, and no on-deck activity can be reported. The ships are, strangely, dark.
Rumours reach your troops' ears that the occupation may go badly. Reports of an organized syndicate dedicated to "driving out the british invaders" circulate, and your troops begin to get nervous.

British Officers instil morale and motivation into their troops as they move into the new MOB, Callsigned MOB Maple Leaf.
Sentries are posted including emplaced weapons and armoured vehicles.
1 of the tornado GR.4A's stays on station and observes the suspicious buildings.
Meanwhile a platoon* from the Light Role Infantry escorted by an Armoured Cavalry troop are deployed to the harbour area where they will start to search and seize the enemy ships.

Your troops take well to the morale support, but the fear is still there.
Your Tornado picks up movement near one of the buildings, its source unknown. It may be enemy troop movement or simple civilian activity.
As your scouting party approaches the harbour, one of the riflemen reports a "bad feeling". He comments that it is "too quiet" and there are "too many places to hide" among the shipping containers. Progressing further may draw you into an ambush.

The deployed platoon will hold positions and secure the perimeter of the harbour.
A single RAF Hawthorn UAV is launched and will provide aerial recce to the troops on the ground.
Intel from the Tornado GR.4 flight is sent to ground element commanders where further action is not currently taken.
All British Troops are to only engage a target under the following ROE's; -Their lives are in immediate danger -The target is armed and ready to fire on civilians or BLUFOR (Friendly forces) -Enemy forces become actively hostile and identifiable
3 CB90 Patrol boats will approach the harbour from sea and will target and be ready to engage the smaller enemy ships, HMS Millennium (Superbattleship) will keep her main guns and ASuW missiles aimed at the larger enemy ships and will be ready to fire immediately when BLUFOR are engage.
A second platoon (Same size as above, minus the armour) will be flown in on 3 Lynx helicopters to the Government centre of the city escorting 3 Officers of various ranks to secure and talk to the Governmental Leader of the country.

Your Platoon manages to secure the area around the harbour, however the lack of activity still remains suspicious. A seemingly homeless man tosses a molotov at your troops, giving one of the Riflemen some serious looking burns, but he disappears into the alleyways of the cities before your men can give chase.
As your Hawthorn comes into range, it is able to pick up on the movement relayed from the Tornado. It takes the form of a blue pickup truck headed towards the harbour. The bed contains a long, thin object and a heavy-looking steel box.
More farmers come to observe the FOB, although it is beginning to get suspicious. They may be spies for the rumoured underground rebellion, or they may be simply curious. As far as has been observed, the civilians living in rural areas do not show animosity towards your troops like the city-dwellers do. It may be a good idea to find out why.
Your Patrol boats make it to the harbour. The sailors notice that the enemy ships are incredibly run down - and may not even be operational. It is also noted that one of the Destroyers sits considerably lower in the water than the other boats.
Your Lynxes come under small arms fire from somewhere in the city - although its location is unknown, it is deduced that it was just a cluster of guerillas with AK47s, nothing to worry about - yet.

As the Officers and their RMP escort team land they quickly disembark and get to shelter so the Lynx's can get out of the area.
The Hawthorn UAV is ordered to track the Pickup and gains a lock with the hellfire missiles mounted to it.
At the Main Operating Base the troops inside are put on stand by. A small section of 8 men (4 Rifles, 2 Grenadiers, 2 LSW's) are sent on a patrol out into a local farming village and hold a talk with the communities leader. They will do everything they can to look the least threatening so that they can talk in at least slight safety.
They harbour clearing platoon is ordered to start patrolling inwards with heightened alert after the molotov attack. If anyone is seen to be ready to attack our troops in anyway the soldiers are cleared to give warning shots or engage the target.

Your officers and troops land safely, but come under sniper fire. Three grenadiers, the GPMG, and one of your officers are killed, and two of your riflemen are injured. The insurgents (Approximately seven of them) quickly vanish in the streets, and due to the range, your squad is unable to engage.
The truck stops at the harbour. The driver gets out of the vehicle, removes both objects from the bed of the vehicle, and promptly begins fishing. The man, it seems, is passive.
As your troops enter the village, they draw a few awkward stares. When discussions begin, the peasants are weary of your soldiers - some even bring hunting weapons, although they do not appear to want to use them - and tend to keep their distance. However, you find out that the rural villagers are heavily taxed - to the point of starvation. Disease is rampant, and Dominican soldiers are rumoured to be abusive to the peasants of the community. They do not appear to want to fight, they simply want peace for their village. However, some smooth words may convince them to fight for you.
As your troops in the harbour push inwards, begin to notice a warm, tingly, polluted feel to the air. One of the riflemen nudges open a shipping container as they pass, and they notice a stockpile of RPG-7s. These shipping containers seem to contain weapons that have yet to find users. In addition, some are beginning to suspect that one or two may contain a bio-hazardous material.

In the village the patrol sends a radio message to base requesting emergency aid supplies which are brought out on a MAN HX 4x4 truck, the food supplies are a gift to the farming village. The British troops do not in anyway attempt to make the farmers fight as it would be a logistical nightmare.
At the harbour troops begin to monitor their CBRN detection equipment whilst continuing to slowly push forward. A 2nd Platoon and engineers are called in to provide assistance and to start searching the containers. With the risk of Biochemical hazardous materials which could easily be boobytrapped the engineers very slowly and very carefully work to check and secure the containers before logistics teams will work on moving any containers containing ANY TYPE of WEAPON away from the dockyard so they can be thoroughly checked.
After breaking contact the wounded a pulled into cover and first aid applied. The meeting with the president is cancelled and friendly forces pull out of that part of the city, bodies as well. As they leave the friendlies will take the shortest route possible through the city making sure to maintain 360' High/Low security whilst moving and crossing danger areas until they reach an open field on the outer perimeter where a green smoke grenade will be thrown signalling for a MH-47D Chinook to land and extract the troops.

The villagers gladly accept the gifts, and some even insist on repaying your troops; mostly drinks.
Your platoon in the harbour runs into a snag - there is a container loaded with a deadly chemical weapon, the fumes of which have been leaking into the air in the harbour, rendering it unfit for populations - explaining the lack of activity on the nearby ships, and it can be inferred that the Destroyer sitting much lower in the water contains large quantities of this chemical. Your troops have been exposed to these fumes in high doses, and some of the lighter-weight soldiers report feeling dizzy. One of the more resilient men is able to note that the aforementioned container appears to be rigged with a very large bomb - disturbing it may set it off and disperse the lethal chemical throughout nearby city sectors.
Your troops nearly make it out of the city and into safety, however a coincidentally placed car bomb detonates - all but two riflemen and one officer are killed, and the survivors are injured.

With the discovery of this bomb and british troops being wounded AND KILLED the fullscale military operation begins.
Friendly forces pull back from the harbour and alert up the command chain to the Battlegroup commander. From there a fresh platoon is sent in. Fully kitted out in CBRN protective kit.
Following this platoon will be soldiers from 27 Engineer Regiment (EOD) who are kitted out with full CBRN Protective gear and bomb disposal gear. Once a perimeter around the HAZMAT IED is secured the EOD team will first send in a small remotely controlled robot to look at and inspect the bomb and if able attempt to disarm it.
A emergency MERT team. (2 Chinooks, 2 Apache Longbows, 10 Riflemen and 2 LSW Gunners) are deployed to rescue the injured soldiers of both mini-operations.
Back at the main base the entire infantry and cavalry based units of the battlegroup are gearing up and preparing for deployment to seize the city.
A patrol of 6 MAN HX Trucks and 2 Mastiff PPV's carrying 8 Riflemen, 4 Grenadiers 2 Snipers and 2 LSW's is deployed to move along the MSR (Main road = Main Supply Route) to visit villages and local population centers and distribute aid. The patrol will be lead by 7 Transport Regiment with elements of 3rd Close Support Medical Regiment taking space in 2 MAN Trucks for providing medical aid on top of the food and water aid being deployed.

Sorry about that, I didn't forget, just lacked the time to post. /:
Anyways.
Your troops are harrassed by machete wielding civilians as they pull out of the area, but before your troops can engage, a look of fear washes over the insurgents' faces, and they run away with clothes pressed over their faces. It may be a good idea to find out why. The EOD team discovers that the trigger system for the bomb, although unstable, is in fact quite simple. Defusing it may just be a matter of disconnecting the tripwire without disturbing the container.
Your recovery teams come under fire as they land; terrorist cells with AK47s. Noone has been injured yet.
Your medical aide deployments do not encounter any snags. The citizens of the rural areas and surrounding villages seem grateful for your help.

Operations within the city, excluding the harbour are ceased.
3 Tornado GR.4A Fighters conduct a recce/search flight over the city to locate the insurgents and any threats that may be there.
Even with the bomb disarmed and secured and removed by sea ALL personnel operating out side of CBRN protected vehicles (Tanks, Scimitars, AAA, SPG's, MLRS, ect) will don full CBRN gear so that operations can continue once intel is obtained.
The FRR (Formation Recce Regiment) recieves its orders to advance into the city.
