To begin, the COUGAR squads will cut the power to the terminal, and will then launch a fast and relatively stealthy offensive on the terminal building with NVGs, Suppressed weaponry, and stun grenades. The cats will prowl through the shadows in search of specialized enemy infantry (the Marksmen and the Rocketeers), utilizing the element of surprise to get the drop on them. The Banshees will use long-range missiles to decommission the enemy fighter before they enter the battle zone. Following this, they will focus their fire on the anti-air emplacements, using speed, range, flares, and guided weaponry to destroy them before they have a chance to react. Once this rapid airstrike is complete, the Ka72 Barracudas will enter the battle zone and assault the enemy MBTs, using a side-to-side strafing pattern to avoid fire from the main cannons and anti-tank rockets to eliminate the tanks.

The experienced COUGAR units quickly dispatch the majority of the rocketeers and marksmen, but a few are discovered by enemy soldiers. In the ensuing firefights, 12 COUGAR soldiers are lost. Mexico loses 8 marksmen and 3 rocketeers, plus 15 riflemen.
The heavy fighter didn't stand a chance against Palkien jets. It is destroyed before it can even get off the ground. However, the SAMs and AA are quickly activated, their crews having heard the jet explosion and of the firefight inside the air base, and the jets are driven away before they can be destroyed. Palkien helicopters are unable to move in due to air defense.

Take a look at the numbers... I can't lose twelve troops if I didn't send twelve. COUGAR units employ two soldiers with fully levelled assault rifles and 1 cat. Thus, I sent ten soldiers and five cats.
Also, I find it odd that regular forces with cheaper (relatively speaking) rifles are capable of holding their own at 4 in the morning, in total darkness, while also being flashbanged. :/

I find it normal, as technically, you didn't pay extra for the COUGAR units. You should send much more infantry :/

I spend $200 per COUGAR squad. I'm not paying $150 for a cat...
Hell, if we go this road, two fully upgraded assault rifles costs $100. That covers the rifles in the squad. Seriously guys, pay some blipping attention before flapping your gums about MY units...
EDIT: Admins, make up your damn minds about the prices, please? It was $25 per standard rifle when I bought them. Thus, fully upgraded means $50. >:C

If you want upgraded rifles you have to 1) Upgrade them, which costs alot. 2) Buy them at a higher cost.
There is no choice, you have to do step 1 then 2.

I DID upgrade them. >:L
Regardless, COUGAR is a blipping super-unit. That's why there's a blipping Cougar in there. Working as a team. What, a super unit can't hold out against some farm boy with a semi automatic hunting rifle?
My point is: How am I losing troops I didn't even send...
...To people who have worse training, worse weaponry, are tired, and now disoriented by stun grenades?

Sorry, I didn't know how many troops. I thought 5 squadrons was 50 troops. You lost 3 soldiers then.

We're bring the question of reality here, again... so how can a few soldiers and a few gunships take over an entire country?
But ignore that, you're right. Meh.

Once again, something that's bothering me as well. But, that'll go away soon enough.

Ignoring prok's latest post... The COUGAR squads will continue their rapid clearing of the Terminal, and the cats are to work with their human masters this time, clearing the building one section at a time. The same tactics will be employed: Striking from the shadows, NVGs, suppressors, and stun grenades. The Banshees will linger just outside the effective range of the anti-aircraft guns, using chaff to misdirect enemy missiles. They will use AGMs to decommission the guns and mobile SAM. Once this is complete, the Barracudas will follow their previous orders; destroying the enemy armour.

The COUGAR squadrons are deadly effective, slaughtering all of the remaining Mexican infantrymen.
The Banshee fighters destroy the SAM sites more efficiently at longer range, and the Barracudas quickly move in to eliminate the enemy tanks.
Congrats, Mexico is yours. $6000/day.

did you pay the initial upgrade cost? I didn't think you did, so when Martyr used COUGARS I figured they were just average riflemen and expensive cats.

I did, shark, but the post got blammed. Oh well, I will allow the rifle itself to drop to base efficiency, as really it's the tactics the COUGARs employ that make the most difference...
