The past decade has been kind to Cameroon, bringing it's economy to the top of the Sub-Saharan African pile. The upper class has benefitted most from this wealth, and the rich areas of Yaoundé rival the glory of wealthier nations' capitols. These are surrounded by tightly packed slums and vast farms, meaning you will have a variety of tactical situations to deal with.
In order to claim this country, you must: 1. Block access to the city via main roadways and stop supplies from entering Yaoundé for 2 turns. (see map). Beware that if the Cameroon Army breaks through your blockade they will get reinforcements. 2. Capture or Murder the President, who is being held in the fortified parliament building. Patrie Ahidjo has sweeping powers over all branches of government, and his death will enable a legitimate APA takeover. 3. (Optional) Defeat the Cameroon Army: 100 Riflemen 100 SMG gunners 50 Snipers 25 Heavy Mortar Teams 50 Armoured Trucks 10 MBTs 15 SAM fortifications 15 Air Superiority Fighters

The majority of the occupation force will be tasked to blocking off the major highways that provide entrance and egress to and from the city. Any approaching vehicles will be given ample warning as to their grisly fate should they press their luck. Helicopters patrol the city boundaries, keeping a lookout both within and without for resistance. The TAV teams will get into position. A group of five soldiers, bearing concealed machine pistols, will make their way to the Presidents' building. They will attempt to infiltrate the compound by disguising themselves as Ahidjo's soldiers, eliminating the true soldiers, and then capturing Ahidjo and smuggling him out of the city. They are wearing pulse monitors, which send orders to the waiting artillery teams to unleash a fusillade upon the president's compound should all five soldiers fall in combat.

Your Soldiers find the high ways being patrolled by CA troops, their leaders acknowledged the importance of road control. You easily push the patrols off all roads but the northernmost highway, losing 13 KAR Type 69 Riflemen, 10 KMP Jackals, and 4 Savages. The North Highway is crammed with both military and civilian vehicles, the heavy bus traffic that makes up the majority of Cameroon Transit means that your men will have to fire with discretion if they don't want to cause innocent deaths.
In the chaos of your blockades allows your soldiers to sneak into the city unnoticed. They are able pull the ol' switcheroo, and are now in CA garb. Their proficiency in the French language allows your men to infiltrate the ranks of the CA.

While the soldiers continue with the mission to capture the president, the forces located at the northern highway will attempt to take the civilians hostage, stretching the encounter out as long as possible. This will both limit civilian casualties, as well as buy the team more time to catch Ahidjo. Upon successful capture of the president, the hostages will be returned.

Your men overestimate the CA's desire to keep civilian casualties low. Mortar blasts rock the highway, killing 45 of your riflemen as they try to capture civilians. The CA MBTs roll over the wrecks of civilian cars and start firing on your vehicles, destroying 3 Savages.
Your soldiers further infiltrate the CA ranks, they are now within 50 feet of the president's location. The doors to his office are guarded by 2 Riflemen, there are likely more inside. Be warned that gunfire will draw more troops to your location.

APA forces quickly abandon the hostage plan, and instead focus on corralling the civilians out of harms way, to minimize casualties as the CA is engaged. Meanwhile, at the president's building, using jackets to muffle the gunfire, the infiltrators open fire on the remaining guards. Assuming that they're taken out without the troops inside noticing, the doors are rigged with breaching charges, and the units prepare to enter.

Your men force the civilians off the room, and push their enemy off the road. The Cameroon Army will try and retake this road, try and fortify it.
Your men successfully eliminate the guards, and prepare to breach.

Bushbucks and Savages form a wall of steel, and unleash fire at the advancing CA army. Their coordinates are radioed in to the artillery, and a fusillade of rockets and Heavy Mortars follows suit. At the building, the soldiers detonate their charges and breach into the room.

A shot from an enemy MBT blasts into a Savage, but the combination of Bushbuck fire and Rocket strikes holds the enemy charge back, destroying much of the armour.
At this time, your soldiers blast into the presidential suit. 3 SMG toting guards lie dead on the ground, one fires at your men from behind an overturned table, killing one. Your men quickly kill him, and grab the president, who is disoriented by the blast and bleeding from his face.

Units at the blockade are to redouble their efforts, hopefully reducing the enemy's numbers enough that a speedy retreat can be made. Meanwhile, a Stormpetrel descends into the city to retrieve the soldiers and the president.

The Stormpetrel takes a little flak flying into the city, but not enough that it's course is altered. It pulls your soldiers and the president out of the hot zone.
The enemy forces are damaged enough that your blockade keeps them off of the roadways and into the bushes, where they are set upon by the very citizens they fired upon earlier. These attacks, coupled with a loss of moral, defeat the CA.
Congrats, you control Cameroon. Because of your attempts to hold civilians hostage, the country's income will be 6.5k per day until you are able to fully integrate the administration to your own. Keeping the president alive will facilitate this, keep a small occupying force in this country for 3 days and the income will be boosted to 7k.
