Discovery of immense oil and gas reserves have made Libya one of the wealthiest countries in the world by the 80's. Their ruling class would prefer to remain autonomous from APA rule. To further their independence desires, the Libyans have allocated huge amounts of wealth from their oil revenues to protect the nation. You will be fighting in the heavily urbanized city of Benghazi. They defend the city with: 100 Assault Rifles 50 SMGs 15 LMGs 10 HMGs 50 Heavily Armed Jeeps 25 MBTs 5 Light Helicopter Gunships 1 Battlecruiser is in 23rd July Lake to provide artillery support.

The first attack is made by the Weavers. Using their speed, they utilize hit-and-run tactics, first targeting the MBTs with air to surface missiles and the jeeps with autocannon fire. The helicopters are targeted with air to air missiles before they fly off to do a quick bombing run on the artillery deck of the battlecruiser before returning to mop up any remaining ground units. Meanwhile, the Savage Model 55s load up with infantry and make their way towards the enemy emplacements, using mediated bursts of autocannon fire (so as to not cause significant damage to the surrounding infrastructure) to eliminate hostiles as they come into contact. Snipers are to find good vantage points where they can find them and target enemy officers, hoping for a "cut the head off the snake" type scenario. LMGs use suppressive fire to pin potential targets. In the wake of the Weavers' aerial attack, the Bushbucks move in and target any enemies that could pose a threat to the remainder of the force, such as any surviving MBTs, which are no doubt in possession of armament capable of destroying a Savage.

Your Weaver attack run is successful; destroying all the enemy helicopters, 30 Jeeps, 15 MBTs, and crippling the Battlecruiser. An anti-air missile barrage from the deck of the battlecruiser destroys one Weaver in the attack. The enemy ship will not be able to attack your troops for the duration of this battle. Your Weavers will need to re-arm before they are able to get back in the fray, which will take 1 turn. In the city, the Libyan army has set up extensive barricades in an attempt to funnel your troops towards 3 choke points, which are occupied by their tanks. The destruction of many of their tanks has left one of these choke points unguarded by Libyan armour, but it has a full detail of infantry. Your Savages clear a large portion of the enemy infantry out, drawing the attention of 2 MBTs. The MBTs destroy a Savage, but are overwhelmed as your tanks work in tandem to destroy them. Your snipers eliminate many officers, greatly lowering the moral of your enemy.

The Weavers move to be refueled and rearmed. Their weapons will likely be needed again for the battle. The rest of the force is to redouble their efforts. Gunners in the remaining Savage MICVs are permitted to use incendiary rounds to further demoralize the enemy troops.

Your Bushbucks meet the enemy MBTs in the beautiful People's Garden. A spectacular battle ensues, but when the smoke clears the enemy MBTs lie in ruin. Your armour was better able to co-ordinate their attacks and were supported by other troops. However, because the Libyan MBTs have more modern construction and ordinance, they were able to destroy 2 Bushbucks. Already demoralized, many Libyan soldiers flee from your advancing Savages. Many more are cut down by autocannons and fire from your infantry. Libyan Heavy Jeeps attack your Savages, but are disorganized without a functional officer corps and the attack goes badly for the jeeps. You lose no Savages. Haemorrhaging troops, the Libyans retreat to a decrepit office building along the coast. Pre-exhisting roadblocks mean that your troops will have no choice but to move along a single road to assault this building. They have limited AT capabilities from Jeep Mounted MLRS, but the bottleneck created by the Libyans could mean that your armour and troops would face considerable danger attacking this building head on.

Snipers are to target the operator of the MLRS, keeping the relatively lightly armed Savages safe. The Savages, loaded with infantry, then proceed towards the building. The infantry will dismount and then storm the building, cleaning it out from the bottom floor up.

your snipers are able to keep the jeeps pinned down, and once your savages are in range they tear them to shreds. Your infantry has some trouble getting past crude, hastily erected barricades of desks and filing cabinets, but they overwhelm the disorganized Libyan mob and push them to the top of the tower. The few remaining officers, disgraced, can be seen plummeting from the upper floors. Defenestration to the max. What soldiers remain are butchered horribly by your men. Congratulations, you now own Libya. It's oil reserves have made it one of the richest nations around, 7.5k per day is your prize. Your total losses: 1 Weaver 2 Bushbucks 1 Savage 15 Riflemen 2 Snipers 5 LMGs 13 SMGs
