Conquest: Lithuania

The Polish Empire would like to begin an invasion of Lithuania.

I was hoping another mod would take this, we have several of them, but I don't want it to sit here too long either.

Lithuania honestly doesn't have much of a military, normally relying on other countries for support. Your battle will take place directly within the capital city, and you will be facing about 200 armed citizens. Most of them were hunters or people who have had very little training with rifles and combat. They have taken up positions within the city, which is a maze of streets. The only thing they have going for them is the streets are narrow, they haven't been widened well from the cities history, and that unless you're from here you're likely to get lost, making support difficult.

(Btw, you have 160 units, they cannot overlap. Your MG units do not also have rifles. While this may be normal in real life combat, if makes game mechanics very difficult. Also while your MGs may have 2 crew each, it is still considered a single MG Unit.)

Alright. Snipers and machine gunners set up in tall buildings at the end of larger streets and begin to harass the Lithuanians from the windows, possibly baiting them into a charge down the street. Riflemen split up in to groups of 5 and try to flank attacking forces through alleys. Gunfire, especially the chatter of the machine guns, should hopefully scare off the untrained rabble.

Many of your small groups find themselves turned around and shot in the back (50 riflemen dead) however the snipers and MGs have a much better view from the tall buildings they find and can pick off enemies as they traverse the city. Over time 150 of the citizens are picked off and the other 50 hide in their homes.

Riflemen take up positions in unoccupied houses and wait for the foolish to try to run. Snipers and machine gunners back them up from long and medium range, respectively. The most experienced 20 of the remaining 90 try to root out the more wary soldiers.

Your men eventually find most of the remaining men in hiding. Some of them have done a very good job of hiding and extensive searches of the city would have to be carried out to find them. In the mean time though the country is yours. Worth $5000 in daily income.
