Right.. so I have had a fair few players approach me on IRC and suggest a reset again.
If you have any suggestions for workable changes to the game mechanics for after the reset, please let me know.

Why not just make a new forum aside from this one. We didn't even get to Mars yet. We already have month long decades, isn't that good enough...
Or is it because I just "got too powerful again" like last time. It is "grand conquest"...

No prok, this is not because of me or you. This is purely because I have had at least 2 other players ask for a reset and even Mal has considered locking time properly to modern ages.
This has nothing to blimming do with you getting "too powerful"

If that is the reason, it doesn't have to be a full reset, but rather a time reset. We can just halt and stay at our current time too...

I like 2000, maybe something like 2010 or 2020 better. However I do not support a full reset.

I support the full reset. Everyone starting from zero. This will give new guys a bigger chance to advance out of their own machine without the help from others.

Sometimes it happens that we need resets. For god's sake, Prok, you own more than half the world, Rodri owns almost all of Africa and Shark almost all of south America. It gives new ones little space.

Maybe cut down on territories, not just start from scratch. We already did that once for * sake.

I'd be up for going back to 1900, but it is a huge leap back in time and most people would have to redo/refind (From computers, all mines on my old one :l) their entire armouries, whereas, 80's-00's isn't as bad.
But yea, all options are being considered guys.

Actually, y'know what? I'm kinda wanting to go to WW2  So count me in for that. Also, Maybe 2010 instead of 2000? It isn't much of a difference but it also kinda is, lol. |

I think, at the earliest, 80's, and latest, locking it around 2012. Just my opinion. Also, if we DID reset, I'd prefer a total reset and a simplification of the rules. One thing we found was that a lot of people can't find the time to play this game, and weeding them out just leaves 2 or 3 people. It shouldn't take an hour and a half of my day to manage a forum game.

Hmm, if it was simplified to some extent it could indeed be a very good improvement of the game, IMO.
Also, if we reset, I wanna ask something: Don't touch my resources and moneyz k. I be stingy, very stingy. xD Just kidding.

Well, as Dev, I'm voting total and utter reset. Time locking during some smallish timeframe, and simplifying.
What time it gets locked to, I really don't care, but pick a 10 year period, and that's where the game will stay. Including tech. Make the game more about strategy and less about who can invent the bigger more advanced gun.
Also assigning stats to units, so mods dont have as much guesswork. Static stats, like all rifemen have x stats and all tanks have y stats.
